Fig. 1.] be a Window through which the Light enters, M the Center of the Light, and C the Model: A Painter may here place himself where he pleases, provided his Eye be between the Shadow'd, and the Enlighten'd part of the Model: Which Place he may find, by disposing himself between the Point M, and that Point of the Model where it ceases to be enlightened, and begins to be Shadow'd.
