A Man, who in retiring, wou'd tear any thing out of the Earth, or dart it in, raises the Leg opposite to the Arm wherewith he acts, and bends it in the Knee; this, he does, to Ballance himself, on the Foot which supports the Body; for without thus bending it, he cou'd not possibly act, neither could he retire, without stretching it out.
