This text deals with the colored reflections of two spherical bodies placed between a light source and a flat reflecting surface,
a topic of great relevance to Leonardo’s art theory. The text was copied correctly in the abridged versions of the TdP, but
its corresponding diagram (I006) was so badly copied in the early manuscripts (M1, F6) that it soon became meaningless and
was in fact omitted in later versions. From the late 16th century onward this text was not illustrated. The diagram was reinvented
from scratch for the printed edition of 1651, but the new figure had no relation to Leonardo’s original drawing.
